Cookie Policy
Which cookies and similar technologies we use, what they do and how to change your choices.
Cookie Policy
This page explains which cookies and similar technologies filterflair.co.uk uses, what they do, who provides them and how long they stay on your device. It was written from a scan of the live site on 3 September 2026 and is reviewed when we add or remove an app.
For how we handle the personal data these technologies collect, see our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device so it can recognise you on your next page or visit. "Similar technologies" means the same idea done differently: browser storage, pixels (tiny requests that report an action such as a purchase) and the scripts that set them. This page covers all of them.
Your choices
When you first visit from the UK, our essential cookies, our own analytics and our advertising measurement run straight away, and you can switch the non-essential ones off at any time. If you visit from the EU or Switzerland, nothing beyond the essential cookies runs until you accept.
To change your choice at any time, use the Cookie settings link, which is also in the footer of every page. Rejecting non-essential cookies doesn't affect your ability to browse, order or use your account.
You can also control cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of individual providers directly: Google, Meta, Microsoft, Pinterest.
Essential
These make the shop work: your basket, your checkout, your login and your consent choice. They can't be switched off because the site doesn't function without them.
| Provider | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Site functions | Your basket, a secure checkout, staying signed in, your country and currency, remembering your cookie choice, and keeping a chat open across pages. | Session to 2 years |
Analytics
These tell us how the site is used: which pages are visited, where visitors come from, where they give up. We use this to fix problems and improve the site. The data is aggregated; we don't use it to identify you.
| Provider | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Shopify | Shopify's own visit and session analytics, and linking an order to the visit that placed it. | Visitor 1 year, session 30 minutes |
| Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors and sessions for site analytics. | 2 years |
| Microsoft Clarity | Session replay and heatmaps showing how pages are used. | 1 day to 1 year |
| Intelligems | Shows you one version of a page when we test two, and keeps it consistent for you. | Browser storage, up to 1 year |
| Judge.me | Counts interactions with product reviews. | Browser storage |
Marketing and advertising
These measure whether our adverts led to a purchase, and let advertising platforms show you relevant adverts elsewhere. They're set by the advertising platforms we use, and most are loaded through Google Tag Manager.
| Provider | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Google Ads | Records that you arrived from a Google advert so a later purchase can be attributed to it. | 3 months |
| Metrion | Sends purchase and event data to Google Ads from our server, respecting your consent choice. | 30 days |
| Microsoft Advertising | Measures Microsoft (Bing) advert performance. | Session 1 day, visitor 13 months |
| Meta | Measures Facebook and Instagram advert performance and builds advertising audiences. | 3 months |
| Measures Pinterest advert performance. | 1 year | |
| Klaviyo | Recognises you if you've signed up to our emails, so we can show relevant forms and send reminders such as basket and filter-replacement emails. | 1 year |
| Alia | Runs our welcome offer pop-up and remembers whether you've seen it. | Browser storage |
| UpPromote | Credits a referring partner if you arrived through an affiliate link. | 30 days |
Cookies set in checkout and payment
