The Reset Adapter is the small but essential accessory that lets you reactivate a Water Block leak prevention device after it has triggered and shut off your water supply. Once the Water Block detects an unusually high flow and closes, it stays closed – the Reset Adapter is what releases the trapped pressure inside the device so it can be reset and put back into service.
Why you need one
When the Water Block trips – whether from a genuine leak, a burst pipe, or a high-flow event like a long shower or a filling washing machine – it locks shut. Without the Reset Adapter, the only way to reopen the device is to isolate the supply, disconnect the Water Block from the plumbing and bleed it externally. That's an inconvenient job under a sink or behind a washing machine, and one that customers usually only have to do once before deciding the adapter is worth the small upfront cost.
With the Reset Adapter you can reset the Water Block in seconds, in situ, without disconnecting any pipework.
How to use it
- Isolate the water supply upstream of the Water Block.
- Screw the Reset Adapter onto the inlet of the Water Block.
- Release the trapped pressure through the adapter as per the device instructions – the internal mechanism resets.
- Remove the adapter, refit the inlet pipework and turn the supply back on.
The whole process takes under a minute and saves taking the Water Block out of the system every time it activates.
