This is my third or fourth filter. Recommended life is around 6 months. But in a home of 2, I change once a year. Any longer and the water taste just starts to change. We live in a very hard water area.
At around £2 per week running cost, a very good buy.

Purchasing the filter went ok and delivery was fantastic. Fitting the unit and overall opinion not really happy. The 3/4 bps fitting are very poor quality and took me a long time to stop them leaking.
Water flow through the unit is poor and as left the tape water with a taste I don’t like.
Really wish I had spent more and got a better quality unit.

It's important to note that all new installations require thoroughly flushing the system to purge out all carbon particles before drawing filtered water for use. This initial flushing period is necessary to achieve proper filtration performance.
Regarding the taste issue, I should clarify that this whole house system is primarily designed to soften water for overall household usage, including all faucets and showers. It's not specifically designed to improve water taste. For better-tasting drinking water, there are separate drinking water filtration systems available that target taste issues more effectively.
Different contaminants require different filtration approaches - a whole house softening system addresses hardness minerals and some general contaminants, while dedicated drinking water systems focus on taste, odor, and specific drinking water contaminants.
I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties with the fittings and leaks. If you're interested in options for better-tasting drinking water, I'd be happy to provide more information about dedicated drinking water filtration systems.

I buy this filter regularly to maintain my water/ice feed in my Samsung fridge/freezer. It appears to be good quality and as far as I know does the job well. It is good that the appliance has a monitor button so I am reminded when to change the filter. I always receive good service and timely deliveries from Filter Flair.

We have not installed the tap as the connector to the Water Filter did not fit - had to order the right connector - remember to check connections with the customer services people

This adaptor works perfectly. I connected my 8mm line to the tap via the push fit adaptor with no problems at all.
